The Opera Bus brings Philadelphia area opera lovers to performances in New York and Washington D.C. to see some of the most exciting singers and productions in the world at the Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and more while providing educational content on the trip.

Beginning in October 2023, Mike joins the team at Discover My Italy as the opera expert for an exciting six-day opera excursion to the birthplace of opera!

​

The inaugural trip is between October 6-12, 2023. Six days, three beautiful Italian cities, three iconic venues, two treasured operas, and one that may be unfamiliar to many. Mike will provide lectures and insights throughout the trip.

October 6-9: Milan

  • Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro at La Scala with Ildebrando d'Archangelo

  • A walking tour of Verdi's Casa di Riposo and the Sforza Castle

​

October 9: Verona

  • Chartered bus travel to Verona for lunch

  • A walking tour of the Arena di Verona

​

October 9-12: Venice

  • Walking tour of St. Mark's Basilica and Teatro La Fenice

  • Performances of Verdi's I Due Foscari (Luca Salsi and Francesco Meli) and La Traviata at La Fenice
